About Michael Duncan
Michael heads up NatWest Groupās global community investment and giving strategy and is a member of the bankās Group Sustainability Leadership Team. He is passionate about driving positive societal outcomes through the bankās activities and supporting colleagues and customers to give back to the causes they care about.
He has spent most of his career at NatWest Group with roles in retail banking, internal audit, management support to the CEO and establishing the programme office to manage change in the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis.
He has also worked in local government finance, for a childrenās charity, and spent time teaching in Zimbabwe. He has a Finance degree from Loughborough University Business School, is a Certificated Member of the Chartered Banker Institute and has served as a trustee on the board of several charities.
Michael Duncan has served on Business in the Community’s Scotland Leadership Board since December 2025.
