Social Impact Reporting: What’s Next?

Tue, 21 July @ 14:00 – 15:00

About the event
The Taskforce on Inequality and Social-related Financial Disclosures (TISFD) has launched a public consultation on the first draft of its framework, marking an important step forward in how organisations understand, manage and report on their social impacts. It signals growing momentum behind the need for clearer, more consistent approaches to social impact across sustainability and responsible business and represents an ambitious effort to create a globally consistent framework for understanding how organisations impact and depend upon people and society, and how those relationships create risks and opportunities for long-term value creation.
BITC is bringing members together to explore the framework and feed into the consultation process. We’ll break down the TISFD framework – what it is, how it’s structured, and how it aligns with existing approaches such as TCFD, TNFD, CSRD, followed by facilitated discussion. An opportunity for members to explore the framework, share reflections, challenges and opportunities, and discuss what this could mean in practice.
Your insights will directly feed into BITC’s consultation response, helping ensure that business realities are reflected in the final framework.
Background to the Event / Campaign Context
Expectations around social impact disclosure are accelerating, with growing pressure from investors, regulators and wider stakeholders. TISFD builds on established climate and nature frameworks to provide a consistent approach to identifying, managing and disclosing social risks and opportunities. The consultation phase is a critical moment for businesses to engage and influence its direction. This event enables BITC members to feed into a collective response, ensuring practical insights from business help shape a framework that is both ambitious and workable.
