Harriet Walker joined Business in the Community (BITC) in 2019 and is a member of BITC’s Executive Leadership Team with responsibilities for Advisory and Member Services. She works alongside and within businesses, to help members on their responsible business journey, leading a team of relationship managers and advisers to give support, expert advice and facilitate peer learning.
Harriet leads on the Times Top 50 Employers for Gender Equality award, as well as our Leadership Teams on gender, race and wellbeing. She is also the Executive Sponsor for BITC’s Disability, Neurodivergence and Accessibility Employee Network.
Prior to her current role, Harriet was the Director for one of BITC’s community campaigns – the Business Emergency Resilience Group.
Harriet joined BITC following a successful and varied career at Ernst and Young (EY). She worked in EY’s People Advisory Services team, focusing on leadership development and digital engagement. She was also part of the senior management team in EY’s Economic Advisory practice, where she supported businesses and public-sector clients working across several industries and in different locations.
