James Murnieks was appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Executive Director of Siemens UK on 1 February 2022. In addition to this role, James is also Finance Director of the Smart Infrastructure Operating Company.
James has worked in finance for more than 20 years and has a passion for continuous improvement, people development and the value of finance and commercial teams as strategic partners within the business.
James began his career at PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC) where he trained and worked as a financial auditor within the industry sector. He joined Siemens plc in 2004 in UK&I Internal Audit before moving to a finance role in Siemens IT Solutions. He has since held several leadership roles in Siemens Financial Services, including CFO roles in France, Germany, and the UK.
James holds an Engineering degree from the University of Manchester, is a Fellow Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants England and Wales.
