Masudur (Mas) Rahman is Social Performance Manager at bp. He supports the development of strategic socioeconomic plans to aid communities around the UK, focusing on areas where bp is growing new low carbon businesses. Mas joined bp in 2016 to help with the development of the company’s flagship employee volunteering programme to inspire young people in Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths (STEM) moving to his current role in 2020.
Mas is a graduate of City University where he read International Politics and has worked in a number of corporate social responsibility roles within Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), banking and the third sector prior to joining bp. He has been connected to Business in the Community since joining bp, helping to deliver the Arc social enterprise programme and supporting Business Class. He is looking forward to joining the Education Taskforce to look at ways of strengthening the collaboration between business, education and schools.
Mas is married to Anisa, and they have a two year old daughter. They live in London.
