Wales Leadership Board

Daniel Beynon is Regional Director for Hydrock in Wales, leading a 60-strong office. The company delivers engineering design, energy and sustainability consultancy to clients working in the property and construction sector.

Daniel joined Hydrock in 2016 and has played a leading role in the growth of the company in Wales, recognised in 2020 by winning Consultancy of the Year at the Insider Wales Property Awards. He leads a multi-disciplinary team working on major regeneration projects across South Wales that improve communities, create employment opportunities and reduce the impact on the environment. Daniel and the Hydrock team were a key project partner in the transformative Llys Cadwyn development in Pontypridd. They also have helped design the ‘energy positive’ Bay Technology Centre in Baglan. They played key design roles in high-profile regeneration projects such as the Plaza Cinema in Port Talbot and the Hafod-Morfa Copperworks in Swansea.

Team culture and purpose are very important to Daniel. This is reflected in Hydrock’s Welsh team winning Employer of the Year at the 2021 Cardiff Property Awards. With his passion for sustainable regeneration in Wales and his interest in how this can create a positive effect on communities and wellbeing, Daniel is delighted to be part of the Business in the Community Leadership Board in Wales.

Daniel is originally from Swansea but lives in Cardiff with his wife and young family. He enjoys the outdoors being a keen mountain biker and runner.
