Sharron Pamplin is the Chief People Officer at Lloyd’s Register (LR), a global professional services company specialising in engineering and technology for the maritime industry. Sharron has significant experience in consulting, business and HR roles.

Sharron is passionate about the future of work, wellbeing and championing a purpose driven and inclusive workplace and supports Business in the Community’s (BITC) vision for a fairer future. In her current role she is responsible for driving business-critical programmes which support talent retention and attraction, improve diversity, equity and inclusion and provide world-class learning and development.

Sharron joined LR from Deloitte where she was a partner and previously held HR director roles at Atkins, Hays plc and LV=. She has a strong consulting background with roles at PA Consulting and Mercer where she led business transformation, talent and reward programmes for both public and private sectors in the UK and globally.

A Chartered Companion of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), Sharron has a Master of Arts Degree in Human Resource Management and a BSc in Psychology. She’s a non-executive director and chair of the remuneration committee for Enginuity, and was a member of the CBI’s Employment and Skills Board for six years.
