Bea Malleson

UBS-Bridge Relationship Director,

UBS
Education Taskforce

Bea Malleson is the UBS-Bridge Academy Partnership Director. She has been instrumental in building this business-education partnership into the well-established and award-winning relationship that it is today.

Bea divides her time between UBS’s Community Impact team and The Bridge Academy in Hackney and is responsible for developing and managing a range of volunteering initiatives that use the skills and experience of UBS volunteers to support students at the Academy. These include subject-based and careers projects, both face-to-face and virtual.  Last year Bea was Acting Careers Lead at Bridge, working closely with the Careers and Enterprise London Hub. Bea also worked on UBS’s first virtual work experience programme with Speakers for Schools and Skills Builder having supported hundreds of work placements for Bridge students at UBS.

The UBS-Bridge partnership is an example of a needs-led, place-based education engagement partnership, that is designed to develop essential transferable skills. As well as address student and staff well-being and support disadvantaged young people to tackle inequalities in education. Bea is delighted to be able to share her skills and knowledge by being part of the Business in the Community (BITC) Education Taskforce. She will also be contributing to BITC’s Time to Act campaign
