Ian Cornock has overall responsibility for the UK regions on the UK board of JLL and is lead director for the Midlands. He has held the latter role since 2011.
The UK regions comprise about 1,000 people in nine offices covering Scotland – Glasgow and Edinburgh, Manchester, Leeds , Birmingham, Nottingham Bristol, Exeter and Cardiff. The regional business covers all aspects of commercial property together with residential land. Ian has worked in Birmingham for 26 years, having spent the first nine years of his career in London.
Ian has over 30 years of experience, with a background in office agency. More recently he has focused on development consultancy advising occupiers, developers, public sector and institutional clients across all commercial asset classes.
Ian is a joint UK board’s sponsor of JLL’s race for change employee network, supporting the firm’s race action plan to drive greater equality across the business.
He wanted to join Business in the Community’s West Midlands Advisory Board board as he cares strongly about equality of opportunity for all and wants to contribute to improving social mobility within the region.
Ian is a non-executive director of Millennium Point Property Ltd.
Outside of work his hobbies include skiing and golf. He is married with three daughters and he says sometimes the day job is easier.
