Deepak Soni is the Director of the UK Commercial Business in AXA. He joined the business in February 2015, from Hiscox where he had spent 9 years in various roles, including the leadership of the Hiscox direct business across the UK and Ireland.
Deepak is responsible for leading Commercial distribution and trading across AXA UK and is responsible for developing and executing AXA’s commercial strategy in all distribution channels.
His career to date has a very strong customer emphasis running through it from several different angles (product development to sales and marketing) and across different industries (retail to banking and insurance).
A passionate advocate for small businesses, Deepak began his induction into business through his own family business which has helped him understand the uniqueness of smaller businesses, challenges and opportunities faced and best ways to support them, a trait he shares with BITC and its objectives through the small business taskforce.
Deepak is married with two young daughters. He is an avid sports fan who enjoys playing sport and cycling during his spare time.
