James joined Aegon UK in 2009. He was appointed General Counsel and Company Secretary in 2012.
James earned a bachelor’s Law degree and a diploma in Legal Practice from Edinburgh University. He is admitted as a Solicitor in Scotland and also a Notary Public.
He oversees legal support to Aegon UK’s businesses.
Prior to joining Aegon, James worked for a UK law firm and specialised in corporate finance within the financial services sector.
