Michael Cobb is the Tax Director at Deloitte LLP, which provides professional services advice covering audit and assurance, consulting, financial advisory, risk advisory tax and other related services. Michael leads a team of professionals focussed on providing tax support to the financial services sector across the UK working with a wide range of business from early stage fintech start-ups to more established businesses in the sector. Michael supports on a number of Deloitte’s community investment and support programmes primarily focussed around education and employability as part of Deloitte’s 5 million future initiative.
Michael is originally from Northern Ireland but has lived in the North East having studied at Newcastle and Northumbria Universities. He is a keen sportsman, playing a range of sports and has recently started longer distance running. Michael and his partner are expecting their first child in November 2023. As part of Business in the Community’s (BITC) North East Leadership Board, Michael aims to further develop Deloitte’s role in North East community, with a particular focus on education, employability and the environment.
