BITC’s response to the Scottish Government’s announcement about the New Deal for Business Group
Responding to the Scottish Government’s announcement about the New Deal for Business Group, Louisa Macdonell, Scotland Director at Business in the Community, said:
“Collaboration should be at the centre of policy-making, inevitably leading to better policy design, implementation, and outcomes for everyone. Even if government and business objectives aren’t completely aligned, collaboration between business and government allows for a better dialogue between the two, ensuring that the voice of businesses is represented and considered in policy-making decisions. I am delighted to be sitting on the Scottish Government’s New Deal for Business Group (NDBG), working at speed to improve the relationship between business and government for a better Scotland.
“It was great to be able to work alongside the other members of the NDBG to develop a framework which will allow businesses and Government to work better together, to create a fairer and greener world. We hope that, through creating a high quality relationship between Government and business in the long-term, we will be able to support the wellbeing economy, maximise the opportunities of the green economy, and help businesses thrive and people reach their full potential.”
