Eversheds Sutherland
North West Leadership Board

Robert Gray is a Partner in Eversheds Sutherland’s Employment, Labour and Pensions Group and heads the firm’s education sector practice in the North West. Robert is Eversheds Sutherland’s Corporate Responsibility (CR) lead for Manchester and the North West.

As a client-centred international law firm, CR and the need to respond to social and environmental concerns, is an integral part of Eversheds Sutherland’s vision and values. Its commitment to CR extends to developing the workplace for the benefit of its people, promoting sustainable growth through responsible and innovative business practices, minimising its impact on the environment and positively engaging in local communities.

Robert is proud to help the firm meet these objectives, working with colleagues, and partnering with charitable organisations to support local, national and international CR projects.

Robert’s role on the North West Leadership Board provides him with a unique platform to seek more opportunities to contribute to this work, in conjunction with local partners. With a client base that includes many schools, colleges and universities, Robert’s legal practice gives him a particular insight into the important contributions made by the education sector to local community projects and CR initiatives. This is also a key focus for Eversheds Sutherland’s CR activities, through projects such as its Unlocked scheme, which helps young people to access the legal profession, school reading programmes and a number of strong relationships with state-funded schools and further education establishments.

Robert is originally from the East Midlands, settling in the North West in 2005. He currently lives in Manchester City Centre with his partner Ruth and is a keen runner.
