Jon Turner is the Managing Director of the Siemens plc Electrification & Automation business in Great Britain and Ireland. His team of 250 people support the electricity grid and its stakeholders, through a range of power systems, solutions and services, as the demands on electrification accelerate.
Jon has been at Siemens for over a decade. He has spent much of his career working with the new UK energy suppliers, supporting their early journey into Smart Metering deployment to commercial and residential customers. Prior to joining Siemens he studied at Leeds Business School. He then worked within one of the UK’s largest energy suppliers, at the exciting phase of market de-regulation as the residential market opened to competition.
Jon is also a Non-Executive Director for a Merseyside based Educational School Trust. In this role he helps the conversations on skills and career development for today and tomorrow.
Jon’s passion for supporting entry talent and belief that conversations on future skills are at the heart of finding the answer to our sustainability challenges, encouraged him to join Business in the Community’s (BITC) Climate Action Leadership Team.
Jon lives near Liverpool, and is married with three children. He plays an active part in the local community, including coordinating the village weekend volunteer litter picking group.
