Louise Lee

MAT Executive Leader,

Oasis Academy Shirley Park
Education Taskforce

Louise Lee has been a teacher since 2003, beginning as a proud member of the inaugural Teach First cohort. Since then, she has been a teacher and leader in complex schools across London. Her aim remains to ensure that as many children as possible are offered the same kind of transformational futures that her own teachers gave her.

Louise is currently a MAT Executive Leader responsible for seven schools and 7000 students, proudly working within a values-driven Trust to address educational disadvantage in all its forms. Before this, Louise was Principal of an outstanding all-through Academy in South London with over 1700 pupils.

Beyond day-to-day work, Louise was a longstanding member of the Department for Education’s Secondary Headteacher Reference Group, helping to support policy development, including during the pandemic period.

Louise has been a member of the Business in the Community (BITC) Education Taskforce (formerly Headteachers’ Steering Group) since 2015. Louise is passionate about the need for education and business leaders to work closely to develop and improve employability strategy nationally. She is particularly keen to see young people from non-traditional backgrounds supported to develop the skills, expertise and experience to join or progress in business at the highest levels.

Outside of education, Louise has broad interests including in travel, swimming and SCUBA diving although is privileged to parent two young children who take priority over these interests!
