Paul Hampton works in the Corporate Affairs team at Thames Water, managing the teams responsible for its community investment project portfolio, community grants, employee volunteering and schools engagement programmes.
As a geography graduate and following an initial career as a secondary school geography teacher, Paul joined Thames Water in 2012 to support its schools engagement work. Alongside his current team leadership position, he also plays an active role in helping Thames Water to coordinate its wider public value commitments, which cover a range of environmental and social themes.
During Paul’s time at Thames Water he has been involved with a range of programmes designed to support the education sector with STEM engagement and employability skills, often in partnership with Business in the Community (BITC) and recognises the huge opportunities and benefit employer engagement can bring. He hopes his experience will help to support the education taskforce in continuing to bring the education and business sectors together for mutual benefit.
