Ban the Box

We call on UK employers to Ban the Box: give people a second chance by removing the tick box from application forms that asks about criminal convictions.

Research suggests that three-quarters of employers use a criminal conviction as a reason to "skip over" an applicant. But when employers Ban the Box, they allow the candidate's skills and abilities to shine through.

Did you skip? Watch the film again to see the story in a different way.
